Nobody knows when sickness will happen in one’s life. And it is good that my father is a member of Phil Health for a long time, and thanks God, in times like this, We can benefit from Phil Health. My father will benefit from Phil Health for a certain number of dialysis in a year. I have been informed by my parents that Phil Health have reduced the payment of my father’s dialysis, which really help us. I have been paying Phil Health for almost 10 years since I became an OFW, and I have never used Phil Health since my wife and children is with me and we have our own health card in the country where I am working. My parents is still not under my beneficiaries since they are less than 60 years old.
You may check through the link the Phil Health procedure :
Availment is subject to conditions as follows :
The following must first be met to avail of your PhilHealth benefits:
- Payment of at least three monthly premiums within the immediate six months prior to confinement.
For pregnancy-related cases and availment of the new born care package, dialysis (except those undergoing emergency dialysis service during confinement), chemotherapy, radiotherapy and selected surgical procedures, payment of nine (9) monthly premium contributions within the last 12 months shall be required except for those enrolled under the KASAPI program.
- Confinement in an accredited hospital for at least 24 hours (except when availing of outpatient care and special packages) due to an illness or disease requiring hospitalization. Attending physicians must also be PhilHealth-accredited.
- Availment is within the 45 days allowance for room and board.
Good that we are qualified on time that my father has been diagnosed with kidney problem. We just have to procure the medicine that will be used right after the kidney dialysis procedure. My father is scheduled to have two dialysis per week.
it is sad also sometimes that workers hate paying premiums, it's difficult for them to understand that time will come they will need this. Insurance payments together with SSS and PAg-ibig are very useful actually. If we will never have the chance to use it then that's good, but it's always better to have protection in times of emergencies.
ReplyDeletePhilHealth really helps.
ReplyDeleteI haven't paid my PhilHealth since I lost my job many years ago... I'll try to remember paying this time around even though I'm still unemployed...
ReplyDeleteReally. Philhealth is a great big help for the people. Hope this will continue and it helps Kidney patients a lot.
ReplyDeleteMalaki ang naitutulong nito sa amin sa ngayon.. actually lahat kami nabigla sa nangyari kay Tatay.. but God is great meron syang Phil Health
ReplyDeleteJust a suggestion you better do it kasi di natin alam kung ano ang pwedeng mangyari.. maliit lang naman ang premium nila
ReplyDeleteYup.. buti na lang meron si Tatay,.
ReplyDeleteIt is also my attitude before.. But everything change nung mangyari kay Tatay yung sa dialysis nya.. Kasi malaking tulong talaga sa amin.. They are giving provision upto 45 dialysis..
ReplyDeleteI agree because Philhealth is a lifeline whenever a family member is hospitalized and it is a good investment anyway.
ReplyDeleteI have not taken advantage of my Philhealth benefits. I regret not having my number on hand when I gave birth. Could have saved a lot :(
ReplyDeleteTruly, Philhealth will ease off even a few amounts from your hospital bills. Na-try na namin ito several times when my wife gave birth to my two kids. Di pa kasama yung benefits ng HMO it really helped as a lot. Yun lang ang hirap lang maglakad ng papers sa Philhealth on your own mabuti na lang accomodating yung mga hospitals na napuntahan namin.
ReplyDeleteeverybody loves Philhealth. Philhealth is a great help to everyone especially to those who are sick and are below lifeline in terms of financial capacity. that is why i support Philhealth activities... =)
ReplyDeleteYeah PhilHealth is really worth it .
ReplyDeleteit really helps a lot
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post, now i am reminded about my philhealth!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing!
malaking tulong talaga ang philhealth sa atin. minsan nga lang, may mga di rin masyadong magandang kumento tungkol sa kanila. maganda ang program, but on other offices, the services they offer really annoys the members.
ReplyDeleteit's really a great help, guys... ang laki ng kaltas sa billings nyo with the hospital... di kayo lugi sa premium na binayaran nyo... Yahweh bless.
ReplyDeletethanks to Philhealth.. important talaga may health insurance.. kahit san ka.
ReplyDeleteMalaking tulong nga po sa amin..
ReplyDeleteFor my fathers case.> We opt to use the Phil Health on his dialysis and not with the operation , we have been told na mas magagamit namin ito sa dialysis..
ReplyDeleteYou need to get one.
ReplyDeleteGood for you.. tamang desisyon yan..
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment :)
ReplyDeleteFinancial capacity - When it comes to sickness talagang mahirap
ReplyDeleteDi ba pwede namanng i search sa databased nila or tawagan sa phone ?
ReplyDeleteA small investment that will help us on time of need
ReplyDeleteWhen my father had a mild stroke, Philhealth was also very helpful. It pays to be a good member of this organization.
ReplyDeleteI have PhilHealth too. Never enjoyed its benefit yet, because my health card pays for everything.
ReplyDeletePhilHealth was a big help when my father was still undergoing dialysis. It somehow lessen our expenses but still not enough though. But good thing we were able to benefit from this.
ReplyDeleteYupe. Phil health is now helping us in my father's dialyis
ReplyDeleteSo What is your health card?
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing you have Philhealth. I have none that's why we shouldered the full amount of my hospitalization. I better get my Philhealth so I would benefit from the help that they give in times of sickness.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Being a member of Philhealth really helps especially when my wife gave birth to our baby girl. =)

ReplyDelete[...] that PhilHealth’s benefit is limited and cannot be the full source of your long term health care. My father is supported by PhilHealth (Part only) on his dialysis but it is only for a specified number of dialysis. What I am saying is [...]
